Who We Are

ANNAI ITI was established in the year 1997 as the sister concern of St. Thomas Charitable and Educational Trust at Perundurai in Erode District Tamil Nadu. It obtained approval of both State and Central Government under Directorate General of Employment of Training (DGET) to provide NCVT – 2 years course in Motor Mechanic Vehicle and Electrician. Annai ITI is located near old bus stand, Perundurai.
Annai ITI has earned a very good name in the circle of small and medium Industries and societies for training students effectively, soft skills development as per industrial requirements. We are proudly place on record that the students trained by us are either placed in good companies or self-employed. Our placements have confined to small and medium industries. For the past two decades we have trained above 800 students and placed more than 650 students in various companies in and around Tamil Nadu.

In rural areas counseling centers are much required for women and youth. Conflicts between family members that arise out of misunderstanding, illegal dealings, love affairs, drug addiction, and dowry demand, make them approach the local police station. There are people who do not like the police interventions for the sake of family dignity & ethics (For these types of cases we have a separate counseling room in Perundurai police station to consult). Lack of police personnel in the locations leads to day long wait. In this situation our organization established Santhosam Family Counseling Centre with support of Central and State Government in the year of 2006. We have dedicated staffs working full time to be a moral support for deserving people. Since 2005 we have solved above 95% of cases out of 4500+ cases for different types of issues.

This is a Milestone for us; in 2011 we have started the extension center in Chennimalai block, Erode district as Annai Training Center (ATC). Through this center we taught Tailoring, Hand Embroidery, Aari work, Soft-skill training, Career Development training, etc., to rural women & unemployed youth. Through various training we have changed more than 1000 people lives in to a right way.

The Trust was run the 6 Schools in Sathyamangalam Block (Koothanur, PuthuKotthukadu, Gambanayakkampalayam, Kamarajnager, Sasthrinager, and Thattamputhurcolony) under NCLP, Supported by the Government of India, through the District Collector. In 2022 March, the National Child Labour Project (NCLP) was wound up by Government of India and merged with Samagra Siksha Abhiyan (SSA), a Union Ministry of Education scheme. Because of this official transformation we were closed our all the child labor school. But we have provided the valuable education to 400+ children by 18 years of this scheme.youth. Through various training we have changed more than 1000 people lives in to a right way.

In 2015 we have extend our welfare activities in to Madurai district. From various Government, CSR & NGO partners we have reach 2000+ people by various skills & vocational trainings like Cutting & Tailoring training, Aari work, Hand Embroidery, Basics in computer, Soft-skills training, Career & workplace skill training, etc.,.

Also we are providing some vocational trainings in rural side poor women of Madurai district like Nedunkulam, Nachikulam, Paravai, Sathymoorthy Nagar, Rajakkoor, Idayapatti etc., We extend our activities in Manapparai block (kilavanpatti, Seegampatti, Usilampatti, kalingappatti, etc,.) – Thiruchirappalli district by Sewing machine operator training for rural poor women. We have inaugurated a new training center in Erode district for vocational education to urban and rural women at opposite to Erode railway station from August 2022 onwards.

This training center was especially for urban/rural women and youth to develop both vocational skills and to earn.
